Michael Dunston is a renowned  vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actor all around dynamic entertainer.​ Michael Dunston has formed one of the most exciting and uplifting ensembles to hit the Toronto music scene in some time. "Spirit" is a nine piece, full-throttle, high octane Gospel and Blues group that is bursting with talent, drive and the much needed message of joy, hope and compassion for all human beings - no matter what their nationality, faith or belief system. he musical outpouring of "Spirit" is downright contagious - as illustrated by their standing-room only performances at "The Rex Hotel and Jazz Bar" and "The Montréal Bistro & Jazz Club" . Michael’s repertoire includes material from the late, great Donny Hathaway, Andre Crouch, Cee Cee and BB Winnans and the incomparable Stevie Wonder.

Michael Dunston was born in North Carolina but is now a long-time Canadian resident. His many acting credits include performances in the feature films, "Tommy Boy" and Death Wish 5", and on the small screen, he has been seen on "Doc" and "Queer as Folk" (among many others). As a vocalist and trumpet player, he has shared the stage with artists such as Diana Ross and Bill Cosby, and has performed with a wide variety of musical groups covering the genres of R&B, Soul, Rock, Blues and Jazz. Dunston has also worked with several major Toronto-based groups, including "Guido Basso Orchestra", Russ Little Orchestra" and drummer Archie Alleyne's Evolution of Jazz. Michael is an accomplished theatre actor, and has also done numerous commercials and voice over work.

This new version of himself including his new music is going to take the airwaves by storm.
